Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie works great)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (or buffalo sauce for a kick)
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Slice the entire block of rolls in half horizontally so you have one large top piece and one large bottom piece. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken and your choice of BBQ or buffalo sauce. Stir well until all the chicken is evenly coated. If the mixture looks dry, add an extra tablespoon of sauce.
  3. Spread the shredded chicken mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls in the baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the top of the chicken. Place the top half of the rolls back onto the cheese layer.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, and Worcestershire sauce. Use a pastry brush to coat the tops of the rolls evenly with the butter mixture, ensuring the glaze seeps into the cracks between the rolls.
  5. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops of the buns are golden brown and slightly crisp. Slice into individual sliders and serve immediately.
